WHY?

Cause my blog is in wordpress and it would be easily for me to manage. Plus I prefer wordpress.

So, should I change to wordpress?

I'll start over a new music blog and abandon this old one.

I am so not creative today to play around with the title. So, it is kind of obvious that I'm going to introduce Vanessa Carlton's newest album Heroes & Thieves.

I am lazy to do much typing today, so I shall just show some pictures, a couple of details and the songs.

Heroes & Thieves is the third album by Vanessa Carlton, released on October 9, 2007 . It's 2 singles are Nolita Fairytale and Hands on Me which I am going to be featuring.

Lyfe is good!

Firstly, I apologise for my absence. I was at a camp! So if the blog got updated, it must have been a GHOST!

I'm not trying to fancy up my words, but when I say Lyfe is good, I don't mean LIFE is good. I mean Lyfe Jennings is good!

A little about Lyfe's life (no pun intended).

In 1992, at the age of 14, Lyfe went to prison. Lyfe Jennings went to jail for arson. As Lyfe refers to many times in his music, while in jail he turned his life around. Lyfe continued to write music and rekindle his faith in God. Lyfe served a little over 10 years behind bars.

Lyfe found his true love for music again while serving time in jail. Upon his December 2002 release he began seriously pursuing his solo career. He spent his 2nd day of freedom recording a 4 song CD and the 3rd day performing at a club.

Lyfe Jennings released his new album Lyfe Change on April 29, 2008.

One of his single is called "Never Never Land". It peaked at number 21 on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and that is one of the song which I am going to introduce today. The other song is called "Warrior". Both are nice songs!

伍家辉 <<虽然我愿意>>

I won't do any fancy things to the title cause my computer cannot type Chinese and I shall keep it simple as I introduce 伍家辉, a Malaysian who crossed the border to Singapore, goes through many rough and hungry, sleepless nights, before he has his debut album in Singapore release in April called 虽然我愿意.
Yes, that is his picture, and it is the only picture of him that I can find online. I mean he is a new artist and moreover he is starting out in Singapore, so not much publicity. But the movie 881 featured him singing 一人一半, and more or less people do know him for that song.

OK, maybe I'm like a little bias in my introduction cause he came over to my school and gave a concert. He is always armed with his guitar and seriously he is good with his guitar and live performance. He sounds almost as good as his album. But of course, not as perfect, which make is the true experience of having him life. He always will play his guitar for music and not use any recordings of music or whatsoever. Purely talented. Often, his voice when singing is mistook to be a girl's voice especially when he goes really high.

In the song 虽然我愿意 which I am going to feature, you can hear that aspect of his voice. I will be introducing 3 songs.

1st: 虽然我愿意. The song that display his great voice that can go up to very high pitch. Great song!

2nd: 无家可回. If you can read Chinese, it is actually a slight change of his name. OK, his name ... 伍家辉, the song title 无家可回. Omit the 3rd word and the hanyu pinyin / pronunciation is the same.

3rd: 我疯你. He claims that people use the word "爱" (love) too much. So instead of 我爱你 (I love you), he replace the word 爱 (love) with 疯 (crazy). So it becomes 我疯你 (I crazy you). I totally like this song.

I'm talking about Danity Kane's newest album Welcome to the Dollhouse!

OK, I believe quite a number of you will be asking "Who is Danity Kane?" Yes, I haven't heard about them until not too long ago. Well, they are quite a new band. Yes, and this album is just their 2nd album. They were form in 2005. Selected from Making the Band 3, Aundrea Fimbres, Aubrey O'Day, Dawn Angelique Richard, Shannon Bex, and Wanita "D. Woods" Woodgette formed Danity Kane.

Now some pictures of them before going on about their album.

Welcome to the Dollhouse is the second studio album by Danity Kane, released on March 18, 2008. Danity Kane recorded the album in under five weeks, while filming the second season of Making the Band 4. It became the group's second consecutive album to debut at number-one on the Billboard 200 chart. Welcome to the Dollhouse debuted on top of the U.S. Billboard 200, with first week sales of 236,410 copies. To date, the album is the fourth-best debut of the year. Less than a month after its release, "Welcome to the Dollhouse" has been certified Gold by the RIAA as of April 22, 2008.

Somewhere over the rainbow ... wait a minute! That's not it!

OK, it's raining outside my window and with A Pocketful of Sunshine, it reminds me of RAINBOW! Hence the title.

Pocketful of Sunshine is an album by Natasha Bedingfield, released on January 22, 2008 and was a top three album in the United States, with both its lead single "Love like This", featuring Sean Kingston and second single "Pocketful of Sunshine" were top twenty hits. So, these 2 songs are songs which I am introducing today. With 2 extra songs from her album.

If you don't know who Natasha Bedingfield is, and happen to be a Singaporean. Remember the song in the Pantene Shampoo advertisement that goes "Feel the rain on your skin, No one else can feel it for you, Only you can let it in, No one else, no one else, Can speak the words on your lips" as the women start flicking her hair back. Yes I agree ... lame advertisement, but great song, great voice, great singer. By the way, in case you still do not know the title of that song, it's Unwritten.

Exclusive forever ...

I think Chris Brown's production team is a genius! I mean, the album is Exclusive and now there is the Forever version. So together it becomes "Exclusive Forever". Smart!

So you guess, today I will be exclusively introducing songs from the album Exclusive. ;)

HELLOO! I'm back with somemore asian music. :):) Today's special would be a song by the so ever cute,charming, the boy-next-door-yet-prince-like singer... Nicholas Teo aka Zhang Dong Liang!

In this album, "Prince" aka 王子, his cheerful deposits are replaced by the cool side of him. It is a rather recent album that is released. June 2007 is considered recent? LOL anyway, the song i'm going to recommend is probably very much heard of since it came out in the Taiwan idol drama,微笑PASTA(Smiling Pasta). Yup, he acted in 微笑PASTA as He Qun, together with Cyndi Wang(Xiao Shi) and many others such as Gino(Ah Zhe) and Hong Qiao(Rita). The show is super funny and sweet and and motivational! A very much worth it drama to watch! Before i digress further into that drama, let me introduce the song! It's called 北极星的眼泪 aka Tears From Polaris. This song 北极星的眼泪 is beautifully sung and is very touching. :):):)

The next song is a cute song too. It's by Wyclef Jean featuring Niia, Akon and Lil Wayne. I believe once you hear it, you will end up singing to it's catchy tune. It's called Sweetest Girl. So enjoy!

It's from Wyclef Jean's album Carnival Vol. II: Memoirs of an Immigrant, but I cannot comment much on the album since I haven't heard any others from it.

Just some information, in an interview about Wyclef Jean's new album, he stated that this song is loosely based on a girl he once knew that later became a prostitute. Explains why the whole seems to revolve around money and dollar notes. Pretty sad eh ...

Sorry Blame it on Me

Sorry, blame it on me for being missing for so long. I had a Student Leadership Camp, so I had to be MIA for around 4 days. Before that I had to pack my stuff and after that I rested, that's why it took me forever to blog here.

Yes, I'm back.

No matter how old the band or singer is, as long as the songs are good, we love them, don't we? Just like Elvis Presley.

Well, today I'll be introducing a pretty old band. When I say old, I really mean old. And when I say mean old, I mean old old. OK, I shall stop the crappy suspense. The band was formed in 1973. (~~Holy sh!t that's even before I was born~~) OK, I told you they are old. They have a total of 14 albums with their latest album out in 2005. However the song I'm going to introduce to you today was released in their 1981 album, ESCAPE.

I realised that I have not tell you guys the band name. They are ...

OK, that's NOT how they look now. NOT I repeat. This was taken in 1982 during the height of their popularity. Wait, who would like weird looking guys with long hairs that do not look like girls and not like guys either. Haha. Less of one member, but still standing STRONG!

What comes to your mind when I mention the Backstreet Boys? Me, I recall them for the 1st boy band that I liked along side with Westlife when I was around 11 or 12? Obviously the Backstreet Boys are a great band. That explains why they lasted for so many years. Their newest album, UNBREAKABLE was released not too long ago and it's their SIXTH album! THEY ARE GOOD!

The album UNBREAKABLE was released first on October 24, 2007 in Japan, followed by other countries on the 27, 29, 30 and 31. Yes, Kevin Richardson left the band and this album is the first album you will see with 4 man standing strong. However, we still love them don't we? I'm only featuring one of their hit single cause I haven't heard the others yet. Only heard this on the radio. Hopefully you guys will enjoy it too.

I'm back with the band ..

THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS !!!!

Truthfully, I didn't know how they looked like till TODAY! And I must say, they are looking quite fine. Haha.

Anyway, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is a band formed in 2003. Their latest album Don't You Fake It was released last year, and was re-release in the start of 2007.

Their single YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL topped the 98.7FM TOP 20 chart. (: They defeat the 2 times top song Jenny by The Click Five.

Other than Your Guardian Angel, the album Don't You Fake it has many other top singles such as FACE DOWN and FALSE PRETENSE, and even Damn Regret. Other songs are pretty enjoyable too. Why don't you guys just find out for yourself?
